The functionality of “Invalidated” (Shift-space) seems identical to “Closed”. I’m curious whether anyone ems has found a clever use for “Invalidated”.
As the name says, I use it to invalidate a task. E.g., when the task is no longer needed but was neither done nor do I want to delete it. Sometimes I use it like a comment or an additional piece of information. Invalidated tasks do not add to the tasks counter – they are nothing that I need to do.

Sometimes I use my completed tasks to record what I’ve done at the end of the day. An invalidated task wasn’t done, but doesn’t need to be done. It’s progress through simplification, rather than extra work.
