@zentiggr thank you for describing your case. Unfortunately, the current model of recurring tasks does not support multiple instances of the same task - Checkvist always re-opens the existing one.
Honestly, I would not promise changing the Checkvist model with this regard in the near time.
I’ve created an official feature request for it in the nearby forum: Allow multiple instances of repeating tasks, please vote for it.
