Long line of code within a 'note' would benefit from horizontal scroll

Can ‘notes’ be updated to create individual horizontal scroll bars if a note contains a long string that exceeds the allotted width?

I noticed the other day that if I put a long line of code in a list item, it gets a horizontal scroll bar specifically for that item, so it doesn’t mess up the page, but if I put a long line of code in a note it keeps going off the right side of the page. I have included a screenshot with a random example of a long line of code.
