Ideas for compact view on desktop, and, just the top ten (or five whatever)

I have a use case where I would like to put a small, on-top, window of my top 5-10 tasks on my desktop on a top corner. something i can refer to at a glance

It would be minimal and only show a few lines of my current list and nothing else, similar to the mobile view, but, with no header, no browser window objects above it. Picture a plain yellow sticky with just the tasks i’m focussed on right now.

Idea 2: it would be helpful to not see the entire list all at once, sometimes. Could there be an option which automatically hides items lower down than 5 of the top lines and shows a light gray object that when clicked or hovered shows the whole list. a fade-out effect on the last line or two would complete the visual cues

I do that by hand using export, takes a couple of seconds.

I am on the Mac and I use Drafts, i paste what I need to focus on in a note, and it then shows on a widget on my phone and desktop.

I used chatGPT to create a neutron app in about a half hour which is very close (see image). I would still like to just see the list without the header and search bar line and just scroll the tasks.

Hi, you can create a Chrome app (see this tweet: https://x.com/checkvist_news/status/1697602416009511059)

and resize it to your wish. To avoid header stickiness, disable corresponding option in the Profile → Settings. Would it work?
