Filtering multi-page list and have to scroll up to see filtered items

When I filter a multi-page list, unless my vertical scrollbar is already at the top of the page, the list disappears and I have to scroll up to see the filtered items. This doesn’t happen on shorter lists where everything fits on the screen before being filtered.

Is it possible to have the vertical scrollbar automatically moved to the top of the page when typing in a filter?

I’m using Checkvist on OSX and behavior happens on both Chrome and Safari.

Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for writing us about the problem.

Could you please tell, do you have sticky header enabled, as we have by default?

Just to make sure I have the same environment when reproducing the issue.

Thank you,

Yes, I have the sticky header enabled

Thanks, we will investigate and fix it. As a temporary workaround you can disable the sticky header in settings.

We will let you know about the fix. On the weekend we were upgrading the hardware of the server, a bit uneasy time

Best,

KIR

Hello @windmilller5151 ,

I believe we have almost fixed the issue. May I ask you to take a look at https://beta.checkvist.com and see how it works there? For me, it looks like we’ve fixed the problem.

And thanks again for reporting it.

If everything is OK, we’re going to update the production site later this week.

Kind regards,

KIR

Hi KIR, I apologize for not seeing your message until now.

I checked out the Beta and Live site and unfortunately it still doesn’t scroll to the top. It does works slightly differently now, however. Unlike before, when it was completely blank, it now shows the last filtered item at the top of the screen. I still have to scroll up to see the other filtered items.

Hello again,

You’re right, the behaviour was better but still not ideal

May I ask you to check how it works now on https://beta.checkvist.com?

I hope now it behaves properly - after the filtering the page should be scrolled to the first match.

Kind regards,

KIR

That seems to be working great! Thanks!
