The issue occurs on both the beta and the main domain. The behavior is identical in Brave and Safari: when clicking on any TAG, the document name field automatically enters edit mode, even though the user is not attempting to rename the document.
In addition, an older problem still appears unresolved. The forum does not allow login: it asks for a password reset, but after resetting the password, the new password does not work on checkvist.com. This login loop was reported one or two years ago, and it seems the issue persists.
What you’re saying doesn’t really match what actually happens. When I tried logging into the forum with my regular Checkvist password, it didn’t let me in. At that point I assumed the forum must be using a separate password, so I requested a new one for the forum. With that new password I could log in to Discuss just fine.
So I thought I now had two different passwords: – the new one for the forum, – and my old one for the main Checkvist site.
But it turns out that’s not how it works at all. As soon as I changed the password on the Discuss (forum) side, I couldn’t log in to the main Checkvist site with my old password anymore. It only accepted the new password I had just set for the forum.
So basically, the forum and the main Checkvist domain are actually using the same password, even though it looks like they’re separate. They’re not — the password is shared between them.
The passwords are definitely not shared, there are different databases and no integration. I honestly do not understand how changing a password in one system could affect the other. Maybe some browser auto completion is misbehaving?
I assume you do not use some common authentication, like Google Authentication for login.
