Beta versus regular released site

I’m debating about using Checkvist on the beta site versus the current released site. Am I correct in thinking that the primary downside of running on the beta site is unexpected or funny behavior of the software, but that it is not a risk to the data itself?

Hello @NeilQ ,

We use beta to test various ideas and give a preview to the coming features, using the same data/database as the main production site. The main downside is that if we do something really wrong, this may affect your production data, too.

At the same time, we ourselves use mostly only the beta site, trying to figure out what is good and what is bad. And I don’t recall cases when the data of our users were damaged due to using beta.

Hope, this answers the question

Kind regards,
