Background:
Tasks shown on the Due page have the same order as they have in the list they belong to, but in larger lists, tasks can be placed anywhere in the list and that does not reflect how I want them sorted/ordered on the Due page.
Maybe I want to have the tasks on the Due page sorted by priority, or by name, or by due date, etc.
Suggestion:
Please add sort options to the Due page (under the “View options”). The options should probably be inspired by the Sort (ss) dialog.
- The sorting should be done within each “section” (e.g. “Overdue”, “Today”, etc.) or within each “section”-list, if “Group by list” is active.
- If the sort options are unselected, then use the order of the task in the list it belongs to. (i.e. as it works now).
- The sorting is just done for presentation. The tasks will keep the order they have in the lists were they belong.
Extended suggestion:
It would be nice if it was possible to combine sorting first on Priority and then on Due date. Or the other way round: first on Due date and then on Priority.
It makes sense to have this multi-level sorting when I have many tasks on the due page.
Value:
Sort options on the due page will make it much more useful, as the tasks will be dynamically sorted in the order that I currently need for working with my tasks.
