I noticed a day or two ago that over 7000 spurious lists have appeared in my account, the list names all begin with “[list:”. I did not knowingly created these. Either the cat sat on the keyboard or there is a bug. I would be grateful if you could take a look and suggest how this might have been caused.
Also, the system is not letting my delete them all in one go, the web page just hangs, I suspect I am asking it to do too much in one go. I would therefore be grateful if you could please do this centrally. Just the lists beginning “[list:”
It is related to the “dump - bike, microwave” list you created on Nov 29. Could you recall how did you create it? It is definitely some glitch, we will take a closer look into the logs.
We will remove them but we’ll try to figure out how did they appear first.
It could well be related to “dump - bike, microwave”. However, I do not think I would have set that up as a list, it would have been a task.
I vaguely recall try to move a task, and I think it was this one, from one list (“work”, I think) to another (“home”, most likely). That might have triggered something?
I’ve removed the extra lists. It looks like the problem is related to the feature which extracts a list from a list, with ‘xx’ keyboard shortcut. Looks like something went wrong, I’m investigating, but I have found the problem in the logs.
Sorry for the problem and thanks for writing us about it.
A bit a silly question - could it be that ‘x’ key on your keyboard got stuck that time? Funny, but that would explain what happened with your lists, as ‘xx’ keyboard shortcut extracts a list from a list item.
