Tip: use 'assign' to distinguish todos from other items

This is probably old hat to many, but as I’ve used Checkvist for years and hadn’t thought of this, I might as well mention it for any here who are as slow on the uptake as I am

Many of my lists are information/research outlines, only some items of which have associated actions/todos. The todos can easily get buried in the hierarchy.

In the past I’ve used tags and/or due dates to distinguish the action items. An alternative I’ve only just noticed is to assign the todos to myself. It’s easy to filter on, no need to invent a fake due date, nor proliferate tags.

I never even used ‘assign’ before, shelving it as irrelevant to a one-person list. But this is a good practical use of it.
